Marie Joséphine Charlotte du Val d'Ognes (Young Woman Drawing) – Marie-Denise Villers
£24.00
Marie-Denise Villers, 1801. The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
A young woman looks up from her drawing board, straight at you, sunlight pouring through the window behind her, one pane cracked across the view. For over a century it was hailed as a Jacques-Louis David, "the New York David", until research in the 1990s restored it to the woman who really painted it.
The print: Museum-quality giclée, printed on demand on heavyweight fine art paper with archival pigment inks for rich colour, deep blacks and lasting fidelity. Also available beautifully framed, or as a gallery-wrapped canvas ready to hang.
