Self-Portrait with Two Pupils – Adélaïde Labille-Guiard
£24.00
Adélaïde Labille-Guiard, 1785. The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
Seated at her easel in shimmering blue silk, the artist looks out with calm assurance as two of her students lean in behind her. When women were limited to four places in the French Royal Academy, Labille-Guiard painted this as a quiet manifesto: women could be trained, and women could teach.
The print: Museum-quality giclée, printed on demand on heavyweight fine art paper with archival pigment inks for rich colour, deep blacks and lasting fidelity. Also available beautifully framed, or as a gallery-wrapped canvas ready to hang.
