Self-Portrait – Judith Leyster
£24.00
Judith Leyster, c. 1630. National Gallery of Art, Washington.
She turns from her easel mid-brushstroke to smile straight at you, a palette and no fewer than 18 brushes in hand. For around two centuries Leyster's paintings were credited to Frans Hals, until her "JL" monogram with a star, a pun on "leading star", was recognised in 1893.
The print: Museum-quality giclée, printed on demand on heavyweight fine art paper with archival pigment inks for rich colour, deep blacks and lasting fidelity. Also available beautifully framed, or as a gallery-wrapped canvas ready to hang.
